Sunnylicious Weather and an enchanted Garden

The weather in the Lake District this bank holiday weekend has been sunnylicious­čî×


I love the lakes at any time of year, but enjoying it in brilliant sunshine really is the icing on the cake!




Steve and I walked to Alcock Tarn.  Starting from Grasmere, we took the circular route and made it to the top in one and a half hours.  Such a beautiful day and the scenery was stunning.


Once at the top we enjoyed lunch,whilst absorbing the atmosphere of the place.


It was unbelievably quiet with short gusts of wind blowing on the other side of the tarn, rippling the water as it came our way, before passing over us.  It felt like another world.



We arrived back in Grasmere four hours later following what I can only describe as an amazing experience.

The next day I could hardly walk!  My poor little old legs!

A great excuse though to chill and relax at Owl lodge, White Cross Bay, Nr Windermere.
