34 Years of making memories with the National Trust

My daughter Tori, enjoying  the gardens of  Hever Castle, Kent in 1994

I recently visited a national Trust property and realised that I've actually been a member of the National Trust for 34 years!  I'm now the owner of a reduced rate membership, because I'm a senior citizen...yay!

Some folk think that the National Trust just attracts old fuddy-duddy types and this is so not true!   Okay!  you do get some geeks walking around but most visitors are as cool as you and me!

So if you want a break from being stuck inside with your children this summer and you like open spaces, picnics in beautiful places, character houses, woodland walks, wildlife and glorious gardens, then there is probably a National Trust property near you, calling out your name.

All National Trust properties are child friendly.  Most have restaurants and baby changing facilities and have planned activities for children.  This year you can join in with 50 things to do before you're 11&3/4's, like making mud pies, climbing a tree and making a den.

You can get an annual family membership for £120 or pay the entrance price on the day.

I've visited some lovely places over the years and made lots of memories 🌝💙
