Mortal Man

No Soli this week. Spending a few days at Owl Lodge, near Lake Windermere, Cumbria. A perfect chill out zone for grandma and grandad.

Autumn is a great time to visit the Lake District and the sun came out today, so did we.  A leisurely stroll of three miles up to our local pub.  Well worth it to sample Sally's Ale!

  Lots to see a long the way. We were on Red squirrel watch, but didn't see any. Apparently they are in abundance in this part of the country. Great scenery though and lots of quaint stone built cottages.

Did you know that the National Trust recognise the big 60 by having a senior membership discount, of 25%.  Not bad eh?  Being a senior does have a few benefits.
I struggled a bit on the walk back, not sure if Sally's ale had something to do with it!

Back at Owl Lodge time for a soak and a bottle of Rioja.  Cheers!  Here's to grandparents, our precious grandchildren, and the fact that we can hand them back to experience peace and tranquility when ever we want to. 🌝💝
